My name is Yassamin, I live in Wimborne, Dorset with my partner, who is a personal trainer. We have two wonderful children, Dudley, our Pug and Bear, our Bernadoodle.
My passion for Pilates started with my very first lesson in 1996. The philosophy made sense to me and the movements felt right in my body. I started training with Body Control Pilates and qualified in 1998 as one of the first teachers in Dorset.
My evolution as a teacher and the prevalence of low back pain led me to take a higher qualification to become a Specialist Practitioner in low back pain in 2013. I then became aware of the importance of bone health and how this deteriorates as part of the ageing process. I qualified as an instructor of Exercise for Bone Health in 2016.
I discovered the Garuda technique in 2012 and trained as a Garuda Matwork instructor. Then, in 2019, I was introduced to the Foundation Training method of functional exercise and trained as a Foundation instructor.
My classes have evolved as I have continued to learn and they are now an eclectic mix of all the training I have undertaken over the years.
I remain passionate about my chosen profession and feel privileged to have taught many of my clients for over 20 years.
My focus is on functional exercise that helps to promote postural improvement and ease of movement for daily living.
